Exported ZIP File “End-of-central-directory signature not found” fail!

There was another report here a year ago having the same issue — so this appears to be an ongoing problem.

I tried to export the entire site and got the same result shown below. And, there was no fix indicated in that prior message.

Since I have many media files, I decided to exclude those (and rsync them later) after the export was imported. The export then created a very small zip file of 180224 bytes. I’m doing the export on a dedicated server.

Archive: [hidden]-20250321180841.zip
End-of-central-directory signature not found. Either this file is not
a zipfile, or it constitutes one disk of a multi-part archive. In the
latter case the central directory and zipfile comment will be found on
the last disk(s) of this archive.
unzip: cannot find zipfile directory in one of [hidden]-20250321180841.zip or
[hidden]-20250321180841.zip.zip, and cannot find [hidden]-20250321180841.zip.ZIP, period.

Since I have many media files, I decided to exclude those (and rsync them later) after the export was imported. The export then created a very small zip file of 180224 bytes. I’m doing the export on a dedicated server. I got the same error above 3 times.

I’ll try another company if I can’t get this working. I’ll be happy to pay for the PRO version, but not if the test/free version consistently fails and there is not support to find a fix.
